MPS Pools Services
Tile Bead Blasting – Tile bead blasting is one of our most popular services! Bead blasting is a process that uses compressed air mixed with a fine grit glass bead to clean pool tile and surrounding features. After the blasting process we use a high quality sealer on the pool tile to help restore luster as well as protect it. We can also blast rocks, water features, spillways, almost any natural stone, brick, and wood. This process is good for removing calcium and mineral build-up, stains, and black algae. Bead blasting is also very effective at restoring natural stone.
Leak Detection- Leak Detections are necessary when a pool is having underground plumbing problems, or is losing large amounts of water. The cause of these problems could be in the pool’s plumbing system, structure, or associated surrounding areas. MPS Pools is equipped with the most sophisticated leak detection equipment to locate and remedy these problems. Leak detections are used when the cause of a pool’s problem is unknown or not obvious.
Skimmer Installations and Re-pipes- A common problematic area for a pool is in the skimmer. Older pool’s that have been piped in with copper plumbing are also at high risk for problems. MPS Pools offers skimmer installations and complete re-pipes to correct pool plumbing issues. Pools are plumbed back in with fresh PVC skimmers and PVC plumbing that offer increased water flow, larger diameter plumbing, and is at virtually no risk for corrosion. A variety of custom configurations can also be accomplished at the time of a re-pipe. For example pool equipment can be re-located, additional return lines can be added, or dedicated vacuum lines can be installed to operate pool cleaners. It is common to re-pipe a pool at the time of re-plastering.
Saltwater Conversions – Saltwater pools are increasing with popularity. Saltwater pools offer softer water that feels better on the skin with less intrusive chlorine effects. Installations take a few hours and the pool is safe to swim in immediately. Saltwater systems are a great way to enhance your swimming experience.

FAQ’S
How Often Does My Filter Need to Be Cleaned?
A normal interval for filter service is usually 90-120 days (3-4 months). Filter services are a necessary part of keeping a pool’s equipment running properly and the pool water healthy and safe. Excessively dirty filters add stress to pumps and can lead to overheating and permanent damage. A dirty pool filter will also cause algae growth and general sanitation issues with the pool water.
What is Water Conditioner?
Water conditioner is a chemical necessary to keep your pool water chemistry in balance. Conditioner levels are checked periodically throughout the year. Conditioner adjustments are done in March (spring time) in preparation for the warmer summer months.
